Hopefully it’ll be like the flu vaccine - never ending but not required.
While none of it makes sense now, it does make sense why it was implemented. Last year during the summer when we had the Delta wave, almost everyone getting infected and hospitalized were unvaccinated. It was a surge that shouldn’t have happened if everyone got their shots.

The shots do not prevent neither spread nor getting sick from COVID. A good diet does.

It did with Alpha and Delta, but no longer does with Omicron. This is why people should’ve gotten vaccinated as soon as they were eligible. We could’ve put this pandemic down to a close sooner. Now we have to let it rip and let natural immunity do its thing.
