This is not the first time that United is pulling out of JFK. So I don't see this as a big deal now because since they restored their JFK presence a few years ago, they never got back to amount of flights there from before their first pullout.
Then you should know that they are switching airports in NYC…maybe it’s a comprehension issue
That's not how I read it. To me it sounded like they used to have flights out of all 3 airports and are eliminating the ones out of JFK. So it's not switching, it's eliminating.
The airline will continue operating its four flights per day out of the [JFK] airport through the end of the month. After that, it will rely on its service out of Newark Liberty International Airport and LaGuardia Airport until a more satisfying solution can be found in connection to its operations at JFK.

It's a debate because you made it a debate. The other guy was saying airlines are leaving NYC - which in this case is true. United used to fly out of two NYC airports and now only flies out of one.
I think you are the one with the comprehension issue.

How is flying from JFK and LGA to only flying out of LGA mean they are leaving NYC when LGA is in NYC?? How is that them no longer flying outside of this state? Please explain where you think LGA is, hint it’s in Queens and Queens is in……(NYC)

I'll try to make it simple.
Let's say a restaurant has two locations in NYC and that's all they have. One of the locations gets overrun by crime or whatever, they have some problem with it which makes them decide it's not a good idea to keep that one open. So they close that location and move it to NJ instead.
If someone says in a thread topic discussing this restaurant, look, restaurants are leaving NYC -- they would not be wrong!
About the airline, you claimed they "switched" locations, not sure how you came up with that because they did not switch. They eliminated.
If you want to keep arguing, go for it, but it's a stupid thing to be arguing about not to mention that you're wrong and I'm out of here
