Citizen is reporting that someone was sprayed with some sort of chemical and all service is shut down as they investigate. It was reported that another person in the station was sprayed as well.
Every other GD day it's something with Broadway subway line (N, Q, R, W). It didn't take long but "Q" is just as effed up as rest of system.
On any given day look at MTA subway Twitter page and you'll see same effing thing; service interruption caused by "NYPD action" (usually labeled disruptive passenger or passengers), or other BS like "power disruption to third rail", "emergency brakes triggered", "tree branches/debris on tracks"...
Actually it's same all over, and that is why trains are often so crowded. It's the 1970's and 1980's all over again; trains don't arrive on schedule so stations become packed with passengers waiting..
MTA keeps moaning about WFH is killing their revenue; well they should look at quality of service provided. People just get fed up and say "eff it", and want to work from home; nobody these days with options wants to put up with that madness twice a day.
Union Square area is a heck hole. There's always something going on down there both above and below ground. Much of this is largely due to city turning area into one large park which as attracted eejits by dozens.
For record some eegit set off pepper spray at Benjamin Cardozo HS in Brooklyn on Friday as well.
