It is very unwise to mock native New Yorkers who have been pushed out of their homes because they could no longer afford it, by calling them "welfare" etc etc

What's that saying again??

When you point the finger 3 are pointing right back at you

Being delusional isn't a smart tactic when it comes to housing especially during a housing crisis
Read and weep, ladies and gentleman. This is what NYCs welfare class has created. Individuals that feel entitled to others property. They love to be authoritarian with other people's money and property.

Ironically enough, these people never offer their own money or property?

Well done Escani...........Right on target.

I use to hear the same babble from folks who have never driven a car once I got my drivers license.
18 yrs old , paid $100 bucks for a dented 4 door with over 100,000 mile on it. I was told how foolish I was because
Cars cost too much to maintain, Insurance is a rip off, be prepared to have many dents for owning a car in the city.
You save more money not owning a car.....and so on. Such Discouragement from so called know it alls.

Let me tell you.........Blessed is the brave heart .
My car helped me rise the ladder of success and in turn reinvest into bigger and better models.
I traveled across state lines by the time others were able to walk to the other end of their own neighborhood.

I moved onto to better homes and better neighborhoods while those who knew better remained sadly stuck.

I learned one thing.
Success depends on you.
Work hard and continue working up the ladder.

Work towards owning a car and eventually owning a home outright.

Until then..........just listen to what others have to say and smile to yourself even if it means keeping an apartment vacant.
At least you have no worries seeking shelter from the storm.

Best wishes.....

Blah,blah,blah...............My car helped me rise the ladder of success and in turn reinvest into bigger and better models
all the while the non drivers still complained as they walked ,rode a bicycle, bus or train to work. I traveled across country
while they continue to have difficulty walking across the street.

Now there are exceptions to every rule but they are as rare as hen's teeth.............

I am no genius and lived a simple life.
I learned one thing. Graduate to success by
Working hard and continue working up the ladder.
Work towards owning a car and eventually owning a home outright.

Until then...................................success is only a dream away and no one stands in your way except yourself.

Best wishes of success to all.
I have a car and have a drivers license buddy what's ya point?

Just because I advocate for better housing (like I do other things i.e food, clean water etc etc) you think you know me?

Remember this is the internet.

I could be an old retired woman living in my condo on the upper east side or I could be an 18 year old looking to apply to college.

You have no idea who I am so its actually entertaining to sit here and watch you judge from behind a blue screen. I could even be a man in a whole other state just on here for fun........................................

You "advocate" for "better housing" because you're in the market for an affordable housing lottery unit. Just based on this fact, one can draw fairly accurate conclusions.

Like I said before, talking to the welfare class about welfare is like asking pedophiles about kids. For some reason, people "advocating" never divulge their conflicts of interest.

lol at Escani referring to people seeking affordable housing as the "welfare class" when he's the first one to advocate for Zelensky to get a blank check in the MEGA $$$ trillions from US taxpayers. It's like John Wayne Gacy pointing the finger at Jeffrey Dahmer and saying, "Well yeah, I killed, raped, tortured and buried those guys in my basement, but at least I didn't eat them! Lord have mercy why I would NEVER do that!"

By the way, a lack of affordable housing is basically a demand and supply issue. I don't believe landlords are as greedy or as vicious as they're portrayed. I know because my uncle is a landlord in Upstate NY who owns multiple properties there. (My cousin is a landlord in Florida). At times, they literally have to dig into their own savings to make renovations on whatever it is that the tenants did not properly take care of. I've seen the nightmares from a landlord's end. And here in NYC it's extremely hard to get rid of a tenant.
