Didn’t know that size matters in egg pricing…

Mr KK, you might get more out of your time working instead of shopping for penny discounts!
Do you know that NY minimum wage has increased to $15 and above? One hour of a minimum wage job will pay for the price difference between a ton of large-extra vs large eggs…

I just returned for a trip to the local Kroger (QFC) and among the items I needed was lettuce. There does seem to be some sort of shortage, because they had small heads of red lettuce in the higher priced Organic section for $3.49 but none in the regular. The green leaf was $2.79 but I got the last 2. The Iceberg, unlike the OP's store, was only $2.49 and there was plenty of it, good sized heads. I suspect that a lot of it has to do with how far it has to travel to the store. We are a lot closer to Mexico and California than NYC.

Op out in Queens NY. NOT the boonies. Todays price, $6.99 a head of iceberg lettuce! Just crazy, the most popular sandwich and salad add on... i usually buy in bulk for the month, and this is a product i cant do that with.

Organic and regular are about the same now, makes it even more silly. I did score some brown clomatoes, in season and priced right!

Try the Spring Mix if your store carries it.
You will be surprised how many dishes you will get out of it.
