The term racism is used too casually these days. But in this context it seems appropriate. They can't question his immigration status so decided to question his residency status.
Lester Chang won the seat in a surprise ( to the Dems) race buoyed by the Democratic party's indifferent attitude and gas lighting about rising crime rates and targeted attacks. He is also a Navy veteran which as we know liberals hate veterans.
The seat loss was not surprising as the Brooklyn Dems have a corrupt party machine that operates on patronage.
What is surprising is the intensity of attacking Lester Chang. I saw a bit of the testimony and the Dems were aggressive in questioning him with "gotcha" questions.
I see some segments of Asian-American communities in New York City waking up to the reality that Democrats hate hard-working, law-abiding citizens and have largely been ineffective against the rising trend of crimes against Asian-Americans across NYC.
Dems hate Asians because they go against everything that these liberals preach to their mindless base. Southern Brooklyn is a loss cause just take the L and move on. Imagine trying to preach woke nonsense in that part of Brooklyn. I can only laugh thinking about it.
Democrats hate America, which is why they destroy middle class, enslave the poor with welfare and import illegals. Dumb voting base is easier to manipulate and cheaper to buy. They are a blessing for both Russia and China, destroying country from within. The real collusion.
Asians are problem solvers. People who are losing just want others to lose too. What's worse is they will promote worse conditions so others can suffer with them (high crime). Pathetic.
I don't get into red-blue, R vs. D as much as I used to, but the above comments are off-target or absurd. Here's the context: A republican in Nassau County has just been caught basically inventing his entire life, after another Republican in Florida was going around claiming his pro-life credentials after having pressured exes to get abortions. To me, the former of these cases is in some ways more egregious, as it's emerging that this guy Santos was basically NEVER where his resume said he was, nor was he even enrolled at anytime in the college he claimed a degree from. And he won by 8 points...in an age of war, huge military spending, increasingly dangerous internet misinformation, predatory moneyed interests trying to turn profits by bankrupting public education or setting up scam crypto operations, do I really need to explain why it's important to vet these guys extensively?
