Here is an actual chart: https://foothillsbusinessdaily.com/a...veterans-sba-/

So it is middle and working class/lower income folks that are more likely to leave according to that information.

Has anyone visited their local Home Depot lately.

Dozens of day laborers looking for work. Looks like a bus stop.

What a terrible thing NYC politicians have done to its' citizens in the last 10 years.

That's nothing new, been going on for a good decade if not more. Where do you think contractors and others in construction have been finding all that cheap labor these past many years? You pass some small or even medium size construction projects and not a single word of English; it's all Mexican, Ecuadorian, San Salvadoran, and whatever other "migrant" population.

People keep complaining about shortage of legit workers in trades and there's your answer. No one is going to bust their a$$ for same money these contractors are paying illegals.

These day laborers barely get minimum wage or bit above per hour. This is how so many contractors are able to bid for projects with laughable numbers. They aren't using union much less paying scale rates.

Other side of things it's also why you keep hearing about this horrible construction accidents with serious injuries and or death. Some poor slob of a day laborer doing something he shouldn't and or without protection. So when a wall crumbles, floor gives way or whatever else....

All these so called "migrants" Biden is allowing to flood into country are already part of construction day labor, and more of that is coming.

Agree. I have seen the lines for years at Home Depot but never stretching around the block like today.
I also understand few Americans believe in sweating for pay when you have Federal Freebies being handed out.
I have been around long enough to see when people start to go hungry they eventually cave in to doing anything for any amount.

With that being said I can basically sum it up to 2 Presidents with 2 vastly different ideas.

Trump = Wall = Americans at work... and... Biden = No Wall = Americans out of work...and eventually outta here............

Dirt cheap labor is in this country’s DNA. That’s how it was built and so it continues.
How do you get dirt cheap labor? Flood the market with fresh slaves.

It's gonna get ugly the next few years unless the country's economic situation improves. As NYC keeps increasing the cost of living through taxes, fines, or any sort of money grab. And inflation doesn't slow down and salaries don't increase with unemployment. It's the perfect economic storm.

I've never seen NYC enact any sort of tax reduction, never reduced any business or personal income taxes, and never reduced any fines or penalties. You can't keep kicking the can down the road expecting wall street to keep increasing it's income and passing it to employees. Many employees that will see modest to no raises, but many will get the pink slips. That will lead to a major shortfall in tax revenue.

A lot of wealthy people relocated to states with zero income taxes and middle class are following suit.

I don't have a crystal ball but the financial outlook is grim, NYC can cry all it wants to Albany and then to the Feds for help but even the Feds need to help the economy otherwise they're not going to get much tax revenue either with the stock market down more than 70% from a year ago and a lot of people will be selling stocks at a loss to offset income taxes. Biden and Hochul will have one of the worst tax revenue years in maybe a decade ago.
