Let’s see how cities stack up when ALL crime is considered. That’s my point.

The stats paint a whole diff picture. Against what ?

Numbers or percentages ? Counties or neighborhoods ? Adults or teens ? Men or women ?
Religious or nonreligious ? Americans or Immigrants?

These cities are blue, either in voting bloc or by local govt. Jacksonville, OKC, Tulsa, Forth Worth, I'll give you. High crime "red" cities. Here's the difference: in those 4 cities, when the thugs and lowlives get caught, they get punished. There isn't a sense of lawlessness as it is in SF, LA, Chicago, etc. Homelessness and junkies are limited. I also like the fact that you bring up murder but ignore other types of crime when it comes to blue vs red.

^You can find information based on rates per state. As for NY, the state is usually in the lower half from around 15-25.

Here is a list of state by violent crime rate from 2020 and it ranks from highest to lowest: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ent_crime_rate

I mentioned that earlier, but some may shoot back in terms of policy that makes such crime readily available in those states and many of those states have rural areas with high/higher rates.

This is from 2019: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._by_crime_rate

NYC is in between Norfolk VA(a city where a bro of mine was a cop, ironically) and Colorado Springs CO in violent crime rate. Keep in mind that the way crimes get reported may impact the rates.

Another thing to consider is that many agencies cover counties and many cities particularly in the South water down crime rates with annexation of land into city limits. Meaning, cities that can’t annex unincorporated land/communities are stuck with city limits that are 100+ years old, while other have gobbled up land in order to sprawl out.

As I have said before that is the difference. Democrats reward evil thugs and put good people in danger and treat good people and law enforcement heroes like trash.

Republicans actually punish thugs and protect good people and love law enforcement which is one reason SO many police have left crime ridden dem places like NYC and Chiraq and gone to places like Florida who treat them right

Yeah, we all know that Florida is a crime free utopia, just like the rest of southern states

I think you responded to me in error, and meant to respond to someone else. As what you said has nothing to do with what I said. No worries.
