A lot of people will care -- and praise -- the success of a multi-talented Black teenager from Harlem. I certainly will. Many others will too, even if they're not Broadway or Met Opera fans. It's a big accomplishment. So don't be churlish. Wish the boy all the best, congratulate him, and bask in the reflected accolades for a fellow New Yorker.
