This incident happened on the "south" side of Queens blvd in Sunnyside. Know the area well. Lived there as a kid up until 1980. Even back then, this side of the blvd was known to be a South American ghetto. Things haven't changed in 40+ years.

How do you know they're South American and not Mexican or Central American?

I didn't say the perps in question are SA. My point was that the area historically has been viewed as a SA ghetto. Going back 50 years. Of course you now have Mexicans and CA's mixed in along with all kinds of other 3rd worlders.
