If you were going to move to Texas or Florida, what cities interest you most

Good luck and don't come back. Enjoy your right to open, conceal and permitless carry. Hope you are quick on the draw.

Sorry but Florida & Texas are full of dregs. I’m sorry if nyc is too diverse and values culture and education over guns and food buffets.

I wouldn't move to neither one of those States. If I moved out of NYC, it would be to get my own property out in the Midwest where I can retire in peace away from any city.

The third largest city in the USA, Chicago is in the Midwest. Then there is also Minneapolis, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Madison, St. Louis, and Oklahoma City.

So your only sparse Midwest options are South Dakota, North Dakota, or rural areas of the cities in the states mentioned.

Culture and education? My dude, half this city is on welfare and it’s not because they’re “cultured and educated”. NYC probably has one of the highest illiteracy rates in the nation. Have you stepped foot in any NYC public schools? It’s full of kids from the not so “cultures and educated” and they act like it and their grades reflect it as well.

NYC is experiencing a brain-drain situation where the bright, educated and professional people have relocated or are planning to relocate.

In addition,
1 in every 5 children aged 3 to 13 will have a mental illness according to NYC Health Dept.

Simply lovely.......

I left too after 40 years. I get it. A lot changed. I think its good for many people to move away from home and experience life elsewhere, even if its not cross country.

You may miss it, or not. If you do you can return. 50 states, many cities, suburbs, rural and different cultures and climates. Lots of choices outside NY. I think its true too if you can make it in NYC, you can make it anywhere.
