I say it is true knowing how wack this city has gotten. If someone tried to attack me, I don't care, guy or girl, but I would fight back as well. And self-defense doesn't make a difference just cause it is a girl. Stand Your Ground definitely makes no distinction on that point.

Seeing as the OP was in the girls apartment, it would seem that she had the write to stand her ground.
Unfortunately, the two women have more rights than the OP. Even though they breached their contract, this is something that the court decides. The OP waited for them to come back - does that mean he made himself comfortable in their living room? The girls can easily say that he was a threat to them since he was inside their home and that's why she attacked him which would make a very strong case on their side.
