Yeah, because all the so-called "migrants" are sweet, innocent people who only want to work Wake up already!

Lmao the ny times turning anti migrant.

"Illegal mopeds and fake names" is the tag line. The reporter is using terms to describe migrants . The same terms used by Trump and which the NY times took a high and mighty moral stand a few years ago.

Like the ones riding unregistered mopeds without a license? And if it's a Class A moped it MUST be insured and inspected, and a Class M (motorcycle) license is required.

Someone downthread posted an interesting NYT article about that very subject.

They just turn around and tell the taxpayers to cough up more taxes. Has NYC ever improved any services without tax increases? More like lessen and worsen with even higher taxes.

That's exactly it, they don't care about us, the ones that pay the taxes, the government simply does not care about us.
Hocul, does she really, in her right mind think that we don't mind having 2500 migrant men from other countries living in our neighborhoods???? Is this chick for real???? Why aren't they living in her neighborhood???

How unfair is that to all of us.
The City needs to have a vote on being a sanctuary City or not, I, for one did not agree to it.

and how exactly does a city become sanctuary???who makes that decision????

Saying lol doesn't make the statement clever.

80's was before Guliani and strategic policing and harm reduction by the New York Police Department.

Strategic policing and harm reduction by the New York Police Department resulted in a 40 percent crime drop over an eight year period.

And I know EVERYTHING about it because my ex was a member of the East Village Hells Angels headquarters then, and that block was the SAFEST block in the city we all LOVED those guys. In fact when they moved a couple years ago everyone was sad.

And a jury ruled AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT when they tried to seize that property under the asset forfeiture law after a raid.

In front of Judge Sonia Sotomayor after trying to destroy them for twenty years.

So it's absolutely disingenuous to claim "NYC has always been a mess" while TODAY'S ENVIRONMENT IS ANTI POLICE, pro criminal and anti punishment.

And America was much better when the Mafia and Angels were active instead of the MS13 gangs and criminals running the government.

Ever see West Side Story? Where the Sharks rumble doing Contemporary Dance hahahaha.

I'm sure many of them would be hard workers - but the majority coming across the border are young men and many of them have criminal records back in their old country or belong to gangs like MS-13. They are not being vetted or desirable in our society.

I’ve driven in a wicked snow to Vernon in a 2 door Lincoln. 2 wheels drive, taconic parkway, lots of hills. Lot of people don’t know how to drive period, let alone in snow. Momentum and all.

Despite what many liberal leaning NY'ers want to claim, Trump is as NYC as the NY Times.
