I thought that the Democratic Party formed in 1792 .
Southern Democrats protected slavery. Northern Democrats resisted.
There was a party split and Southern Democrats won a pro slavery platform
from which Abraham Lincoln and the newly formed Republican Party was born.
The Republican Party supported Black civil rights while the Southern Democratic Party did not.
The Southern Democrats by 1877 controlled every Southern State and their discrimintory practices
against blacks continued.
An anti lynching bill was passed and Democratic Senators filibustered it to death.
This was 1930's. Less than a 100 years ago folks.
So it is only fitting for a Democrat ( Hochul ) to create a reperations commission but to
to blame Republicans for slavery......... I believe.............is historically incorrect.
As far as the slave importers ?
I believe accountability falls on their shoulders as well even if they were business men.
I hope that the reperations commission can come face to face and handle without
discrimination the hard cold truths of their generational global exporter and importer captors.
Dems are paranoid that they are losing the black vote. All of this recent race fervor is designed to keep black people under their thumb. Thankfully, it isn’t working as well as they expected.
So it's ok when Trump shows up to pander with the Black Republicans though?

Civil War wasn't fought because of slavery. It was fought over secession. This country never gave a hoot about its Black citizens. You really think the Union went to fight the Confederacy over us? Lol.
