NY Public Public schools have had 1:1 Chromebooks since at least the pandemic. In other words, every single public school student in the Bronx has his or her own school-issued Chromebook from K-12. Including all the Black kids.
She's probably right, that black kids in the Bronx doesn't know......
Anyone who believes that in the 21st century is simply a fool and lives in Mayberry (she's from Buffalo) and thinks The Warriors movie is an apt depiction. You might be surprised if you go there and ask if any black kid knows what a computer is. You know what a "Bronx cheer" means? You might get that.
They probably don’t when they surf the net on laptops, ipads/tablets and smart phones.
Yeah I asked one how he felt about it. He said it was ironic they claim their generation spends too much time on social media. He said doesn't she realize a smartphone is a computer.... But as he wisely said - they think all black kids in The Bronx are thugs - but we aren't. Something tells me he won't be voting for her.
Actually - she and people who agree with her are dumber than most black kids in The Bronx if they believe it. This is 2024. Every other kid walking around in The Bronx uploads videos of themselves as some "influencer" on social media. How do they do that if they don't know what a computer is??? If you and Hochul represent the majority American opinion - then yeah - the end of an empire is near.
Exactly and why I say once we are all done being mad and upset about this, what is going to be done to deal with the issue mentioned in her slip up/mistake, whatever one wants to call it or in her apology? I'm more concerned with making her accountable and bringing results.
Nobody cares about that part, it's more entertaining to be mad and upset

I went to elementary school in the Bronx until 3rd grade. My school was about 75 percent black and we had computer class 2-3 days a week in 1990. I'm pretty sure they know what a computer is in 2024.
