Had most of the same likes and dislikes. You all grew up together and had each others back. But Puerto Rico one day runs into a rich and powerful man named United States. United States decides to take Puerto Rico under his wing. Now, when Puerto Rico passes in his limousine with United States it sees all of the friends he left behind and snickers ha! "look at these inferiors"....just so you get the idea.

2) The fact that many Puerto Ricans here in NYC dont know any spanish. Every other Latin American race here for the most part know the spanish language well. As a result we are able to communicate throroughly. However, a good portion of Puerto Ricans know nothing of spanish. They have become Americanized...so we (the Latin American community) look at them as outsiders. Almost to the point that they are not even considered hispanic by us.

3) This is a bit rascist but it is what it is. When Dominicans (and others) first were getting in the country they were abused by many African-Americans. Dominicans would turn to Puerto Ricans for help (DR's had culture shock) but instead of helping them....many Puerto Ricans would join with the blacks in the abuse. This has strong ties to the gangs aswell. The Latin Kings used to consist of every Latin nation. But the Puerto Rican members would not help the non-Puerto Rican members when they were up against the black gang Bloods. So many of the other nations felt betrayed and left the Kings and formed rival gangs to Kings such as Trinitarios, ABK and La Familia. So this adds to it because Kings for the most part are Puerto Ricans and are up against Trinitarios (Dominicans), ABK (Columbians) and La Familia (combination).

Blacks and alot of hispanic dont get along. Yet, Puerto Ricans and blacks hang out...and they would take the blacks side over their own hispanic people. That was a huge blow to PR respect. That is why many BLOOD members are Puerto Rican. And alot of Puerto Rican women love black men. That does not bode well by the others.

**note...I dont care about this black vs hispanic beef**

Then there is other factors such as competition (being the dominant carribean nation in the US)....Jealousy......Music.....Girls etc

I have no problem with the spanish speaking Puerto Ricans. They are as cool as anyone. But as for the rest of them....ughhhh .

But I've said enough about this.

Supermario- I think whenever you get finished with your engineering degree, or whatever degree you are working on, it would be good for you to move out of whatever environment you are living in.
