Seriously, "toxic paranoia", fueled by utter ignorance of science on the part of the American public, allows the powers that be to get away with all kinds of scams and monkeyshines.

I used to live in California. They were debating about who was going to get to build a rail spur to SFO - BART, or Caltrans. The lobbyists and PR guys for each of these very powerful public authorities each had a set of pet environmentalists. Each had some eco-cause to cite from their respective soap-boxes.

LOL.

I suggest that people watch the BBC world service program, and read the New York Times.

Fox is a prime example of "infotainment".

The New York times for some of us on the west coast is corrupt. They seem to report about everything negative and even if they disagree with the President you must respect his position as Commander of Chief and President of the United States. They are very disrespectful and that gives our enemies fuel for the flame.

Did Letterman or Leno have anything to say about it?
Conan O'Brien made a joke about it! Something like "they discovered it was coming from a sewage plant... the plant was called New Jersey". He's always ripping on that state, LOL.

Here are two more jokes they made...

“You know what you call New York with a bad smell? New Jersey,” Jay Leno wisecracked. And Conan O’Brien killed with this: “Apparently, New Yorkers knew something was wrong because it smelled bad when they got OUT of their taxis." http://www.truthdig.com/eartothegrou...ey_for_stench/
