I guess I epitomize the southern woman then, lol. AND I work all day too. Despite it all, I always manage to give my fiance a 20 minute massage everyday

I hope not all northern women are like what you mentioned.

LMAO he was being silly. It's not about north or south. Women are different. Some are nagging/lazy/complaining...and some work hard. A woman's work is never done. I work all day, take care of the house, cook, clean, I do it all! I think most women do that though! for real...

The majority of the women I know (all from NY) are always taking care of their men, or independent, work hard and take care of the work around the house too. I know way too many more lazy men who do jack...

Yeah, there's always going to be an equal amount of men, if not more, who are that way

Okay ladies, to set the record straight, jax is on to me..was just being silly. And it's a little bit of the grapes are sour on my end..as both you Northern ladies are already taken so what's a fella to do? Oh Rachael, your guy is lucky to have that massage and jax, no Southern woman can compare to you in looks and in being a loving woman (from your posts above).

Okay, is it safe for me to resurface and post now, my beautiful, nice Northern ladies?

The only difference to me is the accent because at the end of the day the only thing that mattered to women from both the North and the South was how much money I made.

as someone who is moving to the area from the DEEP south in one month, im a little discouraged that based on where i happened to be born (something beyond my control), people will think that i am fake! i was born in mississippi (which, i will admit, is about as far south & as country-redneck as u can possibly get) & while i like that everyone is friendly & will offer u help without needing to ask (even if u dont know them), i HATE the closed-mindedness of the south. it is the main reason i have been planning on leaving as soon as i graduate college. i know that not everyone is like that, i am proof of that, but i see less "fakeness" than i do intolerance in the south. i see about the same percentage of people who are phony that ive met from everywhere (i have friends from nyc, canada, seattle, los angeles, and miami)..i think southern women just catch more **** because they do tend to dress up more & spend more time on makeup & hair, & maybe that comes off as phony.. i dont know. i am very open-minded myself, probably b/c i have been around a lot of people, my family included, who are the complete opposite for 23 years...
but to view someone in a negative way solely based on where theyre from kinda sucks, especially from people who live in one of the most diverse cities in the world! i really do not want to have to worry about my answer to the question "where are u from?" when i move there & meet new people.

Welcome to the Big Apple, redhead! And don't worry too much about that phony or fake label. We all become phony when we board the subway and put on our subway faces here trying to outscare any muggers down there. As to being called fake, anytime a woman is called that here in good old NY it has nothing to do with her mannerisms - probably just fellas who can't believe their eyes about, ahem, some nice feminine attributes, shall we say?

Come on over, there's a warm welcome for you, redhead.
