I currently work near Port Authority and looking into apartment rental options in NJ. I'm searching the counties closest to the city and would like to stay away from the Hoboken and Weehawken prices for 1bdrm rentals.
Lately I've been occasionally commuting from Morris county and finding that it's a MUCH easier and better commute than living in NYC.
Any suggestions of where I should look in NJ (1bdrm - $1200/month or close) to get out of the city? Also, am I going to end up in a worse financial situation if I moved to NJ, worked in the city and had to pay any commuter taxes?
