No offence but I'm not really counting Staten Island as a borough. I'm sure it has nice areas but what's the point of living in NYC if you're going to live in the only suburban borough?

Maybe that's what some people like, although if I wanted to live in suburbia, I'd rather just move to eastern Queens over SI.
I think it's getting way too general to specify an entire borough when you're talking about quality of life. You've got to go by neighborhoods. I live in the Midwood section of Brooklyn, and I wouldn't trade it for any other.

I can agree with that, in New York neighborhoods can either be safe and affluent or dangerous and impoverished, case and point the Bronx, Riverdale, Soundview.
don't get me wrong, i have nothing against staten island, i just don't think it would be exciting to live there
it is exciting enough for over 450,000 people! We love it here!
