We used to live in Stuyvesant Town but are now happy in Raleigh, NC for 20 years.

No public transportation worth a darn but reasonable rents.

Salaries vary depending on your field.

I'm from Cali. No, SF and Los Angeles are not as crowded as NYC...although they are getting there...no where near it. And also, it's alot cleaner and more pleasing to the eye out there.

Yeah but somehow I imagine that they just suck less. Perhaps I'm just misguided?

Then again it depends on what you want. If you want someone cleaner and with better weather...then yeah, they suck less.
If you want somewhere that's a little happier and less stressed...then yep..they suck less.
It just depends. Iknow there are a lot of DIE-HARD Nyers that are stuck on NYC and that's it for them..which is cool..but they are the same people that would say ANYTHING else sucks lol

Sweetheart, you live in the ghetto.

Stop throwing around the word "dirty" as if your slum (Corona?) is a reflexion on the entire city. My neighborhood in Manhattan spotless and to my tastes, more beautiful than any silly little suburban enclave in San Diego.

I know frisco is like a mini NY, just more hippies and liberals

LA is really spread out, but downtown is gentrifying so its gonna end up like NY eventually. Before it used to be really run-down and empty on the weekends and evenings, with nothin but crackheads and homeless people wandering around. But now with all these new condos being built, its coming up.

It's OK, girl. You're leaving New York? Because men are liars and everything is expensive and you can't spell? It's OK. Go! Wherever you want to go. We won't miss you.

Hmmm, am I the only one noticing a trend here? The two or three NY bashers are all plagued with atrocious spelling/grammar and can't type in coherent sentences. If you two were educated, you too would love New York because you would possibly have a job to support New York's exorbitant costs.

And page300 has the nerve to talk down on "illegal immigrants".

Good riddance, all of you.

I live in SF. SF is not crowded. It only has 800, 000 people in the city of 49 square miles. You can get to the other side in 15-20 mins. Outside of downtown area and fishermans wharf, its a breeze.

Compare to NYC, SF is a fishbowl. But I love "The City" which is SF not NYC here in Nor Cal.
