If so, how did it go? I know a lot of online communities do these type of things, so I was wondering if it happened in this particular forum as well.

I think they tried to have one a while back, but it poured the night they were going to have it, so I think the turn out was low. I would be up for another one, I think it needs to be in a more central location though, not Mott Haven like the last one (sorry Guy )

I thought we were trying the new sushi place in MH??

But seriously, I would love to have one.. I just wouldn't like to organize it. So if anyone is good at these things, this is an advertisement for you!

OMG! That get together would be totally CRAZY! All of us arguing and being blunt and rude as we are in our online postings LOL. Things would never be the same on here for me if I met half the people haha. I'd probably be really embarrassed to meet anyone I've "debated" (read: argued) with on here.

YOU are a true sweetheart though and I love all your posts, so it would be very cool to meet you.

Well, as long as we 'debate' over food, then I think it will all turn out well. Actually, I just have a gut feeling that people will argue less when they're in person.. maybe we need to test this theory out?

That's so cute, Rudbeckia! We definitely should do that! It will be interesting putting a face to all these names.

Ha ha why not Mott Haven? With all the monumental changes going on, the community working hand in hand with the city to provide affordable housing, GREEN ROOFS, the South Bronx Greenway Project which is an ambitious bike/pedestrian pathway along the south bronx waterfront, and many more! At this rate, the second coming of Christ is expected to take place in St Mary's park, in the heart of Mott Haven!!!!

lol.....pretty funny

My vote is the lower east side: central to Manhattan, Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and it still has and an "edgy feel". Wouldn't want to go somewhere to yuppified lol
