Wiki actually says that NYC gets "around 40 million visitors a yr" and that Chicago gets "over 44.2 million a yr". I dont know how exact of a science it is determing the amount of visitors to either city. Lets just agree that they're both very close and that they blow Philly out of the water!

Wikipedia isn't a very reliable source. Anyone can put information on there.

I always wondered why some miscreant didn't go and delete all of the entries. There must be some psychological forces at work here.

I dont think any city can be accuarate in determing the EXACT amount of yearly visitors. Some "surveys" go by the number of hotels rooms that were "bought" as they call it. In any matter, Chicago and NYC are pretty close in numbers of visitors. Bloomberg along with Daley, like to boast their numbers. Dont think that NO city wouldn't fudge their numbers a little to make it more impressive looking. In fact they propbabbly all do it a little. But BOTH NYC and Chicago still blow Philly out of the water. And people, that's all that really matters here anyway.

Good people of New York, someone please explain me something. I have noticed the increased traffic of people migrating from NYC to Philly over the years. But I often wondered why? I mean NY should have everything anybody is looking for 24hr city shopping attractions not to mention its the financial capital of the world "sort of speak". So, I mean why come down here? Someone from any of the 5 boroughs please reply and give me your thoughts on this matter.

Philly looks and feels like a city or town (just bigger) in Pa. The attitudes of the people also VERY Pa like. The people in Pa in general are pretty conservative. Except for when it comes to issues involving labor (STRONG union ties and beliefs).

Several of my colleges have done this. It is simple they got more for their money in housing. That even with the price of the direct express train to Penn Station they still come out ahead. They also enjoy shopping at those huge malls righ outside the city.
