Love it! The article mentioned they have these small turbines that can look like they're part of the building. The article also mentioned solar panelling. It would be great if every roof in this city was covered with solar panels. Hopefully they will become cheaper in the future. Germany, a very cloudy country, is a huge innovator in this technology. Wish we could follow suit..

Even the mayor acknowledged that the more realistic option is "wind-farms," set up off-shore. A lot of the more famous skyscrapers around the city will probably not be too keen on having wind turbines. It gets headlines though.

They have been experimenting with wind turbines on sky scrapers in Chicago for some time now. They seemed to have designed systems that can handle the higher wind velocity and are safe for passing flocks of birds. Finally, NYC is heading in that direction.
