HI! Am planning to visit NYC in Dec. Any recommendations on Must-Do Activity or Must-See places?

there will be lots of christmas activities-5th avenue will be nicely decorated, you can go to the skating rink in Central Park
museums, broadway shows, Times square-it is pretty much the same as any other season

I also highly recommend that you get away from midtown and visit at least one nice, walkable neighborhood like Greenwich Village or the East Village. It's totally safe, and food is as good or better, and cheaper.
