Allow me to chime in this old thread. Queensview is definitely a decent deal in the area. Being near Ravenswood is a null point. Both Ravenswood and even Queensbridge have turned out to be one of the better housing projects in NYC. Similar to the Housing projects in the Lower East Side and other sought after areas. They don't come CLOSE to comparing to the housing Projects in the South Bronx such as Mott Haven or Patterson Projects as far as crime/drugs/gangs and overall ghettoness goes.

Anyone else with some current info? A relative of mine is interested in an apartment here. I couldn't believe what a deal they seemed like. Is there a catch?

They have a new website: Cooperative Living Minutes from Manhattan » Queensview, Inc.

I believe that the 1 and 2br waiting lists are open. The website has all the manuals, applications, etc., and should show the price for each size apartment.

He is interested in 1br and is very qualified according to their requirements. How long could the whole process take if he meets their pre-req? Thanks

I FEEL AS IF SOME OF YOU ARE SAYING THINGS AS IF YOUR BETTER than the "people" that are right across the street. I myself personally wanted to put in an application for Queensview, however i think i will mosey on down to a place where there are people who have an open mind an not think that living across the street from the projects is going to hurt them or there familys. As i have read through all of these reviews i seen numerous comments saying "them'' and "people " as if your not a person at all ... in my eyes it seems a bit prejudice to those whom have a little less than you .
