Hi there!
I know its a bit late but I start Beth Israel on 1st ave and 16th street tommorow. I went yesterday to check on parking and whooowheeeee.... its really expensive and I felt a bit overwhelmed.
I am living in Bayonne, NJ and do not know the city and subway system enough to tackle this learning curve as yet.
I drive a Rav 4 SUV( 4 cyclinder...lol) I only mention that because I noticed different prices for different size vehicles.
Anyway would anyone have any suggestions for cheap, or creative parking in that area? I will eventually be working the 3-11pm shift.
Thanks a bunch!

Your best bet is to QUICKLY get familiar with the PATH. There really is no inexpensive parking in NYC. And try this site: Compare Parking Rates Daily/Monthly Garages Lots NYC Boston New York

Meanwhile you could also try parking somewhere in Jersey City, getting the Journal Square PATH train and going to NY that way, changing to the subway and getting over to Beth Israel.
