The current exam is set to expire on Feb. 16, 2015. Definitely won't be one in 2014.

How will there not be an exam for conductor in 2014 if the list expires in feb 2015 the exam is always given the year before. They have to have a new list ready when the old one expires .

Or, it could be in 2013 after all, isn't it also true that they only started calling 2008 exam takers in like 2010 or something? Apparently, lists have a four year life and since current one expires in 2015, the previous list must've expired in 2011. But the exam was in 2008, right? Quite a discrepancy, but it s not at all uncommon to have such gaps between exams and subsequent lists in civil service in general.
At any rate, whenever the exam comes, I will be among the first ones registering for this mother....er!

Did this occur w/ the previous exam? Did the previous exam expire in 2009-10? I find it hard to believe that for this title they would have another opening & examination when the current one didn't expire. If so, great. But it wouldn't strike odd if there's another opening around 2015. 2014 seems too close.

Yes this occurred with the previous exam . The previous exam expired on august 3,2009 a new list was created right after it expired . The next exam will be in 2014

Hello All... Just a question out of curiousity... I did my pre-interview for exam 8094 about a month or so back and I was wondering what should I expect now as far as the next steps in the hiring process? Anyone with any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I wrote quite a bit about my experience with processing in to the MTA, if you go back a few pages (starting pg 19 or 20 I think). I processed in June, my school started end of July. Been on the road just short of two months now. Good luck!

Have a pay question. Am working my first holiday today and I can't remember how exactly they pay..is it time and a half for 8 hours, or an extra eight hours of normal rate pay?

Hey Artzilla,

How has it been? We haven't heard from you in a while. Are you getting the tours/RDO's that you want? Are they sending you all over the place. Keep us updated.

Hope all is well!
