I would like to all the people that are going to or have completed school car!
Hey, any time I can help, just ask. Although for the record, I completed school car 11 years ago (and have since moved from Conductor to Tower Operator).
I wonder if anyone else feels like they get rundown/feel like they are on the verge of getting a cold from working in the 32's. They are so, so, dirty. That is really the only gripe I have about them. I have been working on them a lot on the last few weeks and I never felt like this on the R 160's, or even the 46's. I even noticed a difference when I worked in a 42 cab the other day in the same job, after doing half a trip in a 32, the 42 was just cleaner, the windows shut better and I didn't feel like I was breathing in so much stuff.
Occupational hazard, I guess. But it just got me thinking that a baseline lung Xray, followed by one every 5 or 10 years is probably a good idea for all transit workers that stay on the rails.
Well, I was "initiated" last night. As we were leaving 42nd Street Port Authority and I was observing the platform, someone spit in my face (Didn't see who, just felt it.) The safety goggles were totally useless, because there is a big gap at the top of them, so it went right into my left eye. Thank God it wasn't acid, bleach, or something else.
You need to look into it. I am in the 7oo's and I am in school car about to take my practical. You should of been almost through probation. I met someone that is in the 300's and is almost done with his year probation.
That's 1,33* Noble. I don't think the list has reahced me yet.
Or could it?
