Yeah since less people are buying, more are renting, and factor in an already crowded rental market, not a good situation.
I have been looking at the rental sites and there are 3 times the amount of rentals avaible now than there were this time last year, That should make the prices eventually go down I would think.
not to put a damper on riverside drive, as it is probably my most desired area to live in manhattan if i had the money, but i heard that residents of riverside drive adjacent to riverside park have problems with rats coming from the park and gnawing their way through car wires in the winter....i wish i was making this up.

plus there seems to be an abundance of dog owners on Riverside and West End who do not scoop up after their dogs.
Riverside Drive has very few rentals now. Most have been converted into coops and condos in more recent years. And this is going from the UWS all the way up to the end of the Drive in Northern Manhattan. Anything there would or could be a sublet and I'm pretty sure that 2000 may just not cut it, even Uptown.
But yes it's a fabulous area. Part of NYC's Gold Coast.

What difference does it make. People repeat things all the time on this forum. They even make up new threads that are a repeat of the same stuff that was posted before. We all do it. If we didn't this forum would die.
