I'm probably in the minority of people that would go just for the food. Then again, I'm the only one buying an unlimited metro card and a newspaper in the store while everyone else is playing their lottery tickets.
I am mainly interested in checking out the buffet (my favorite part of Vegas trips). I think this place is supposed to have electronic versions of table games including roulette.
That place is gonna become the ghettoiest Casino ever, just watch.
That was one of my first thoughts.. When I saw on the news they were opening it, I thought I'd go there just to "see" and play some slots. My next thought was --- this is going to be a ghetto thugfest with the "A" train being right there and the Rock Blvd bus coming from south Jamaica. I can just picture these thugs taking the train from Brooklyn or the bus from Jamaica to slither around in the casinos pickpocketing people or milling about in the parking lot and robbing people on the way out.

My third thought? Not going.
Same here, I use to live by there. The Q7, which operates between East New York, and South Jamaica, is the only bus that stops right in front of the casino, not to mention almost everything else in Ozone Park has gone ghetto, such as the schools, the train stations, the McDonald's on 101 Avenue, and even the Pathmart on Atlantic Avenue.
I wouldn't be shocked if shootouts started happening there just because someone lost all their money. I think I'll pass.

I don't know the neighborhood but from the above comments, I am pretty sure I won't be in the first crowds trying to crush into the place.
I get my gambling rocks off by buying POWERBALL and MEGA BALL whenever they go over $100,000,000. Like the quarter billion Powerball tonight. (I's worth a dollar for a nice daydream.)
