Hi everyone.

I am a student from Germany and I am already used to the high cost of living in Munich. However, NYC is supposed to be even more expensive. Anyway, I will still be in NYC from January on for my year abroad.

So right now I am looking for information on the rental prices, since this is probably the toughest part :-) If I want to live in an ok area (not the best but also not really dangerous) and not TOO far away from Manhattan, how much do you think will the average rent for a studio (it can be tiny, that's no problem) or shared 2 or 3 bedroom-apt. be?

Thanks a lot for your help already!
