JFK, RFK now part of NYC infrastructure - wonder what they'll name after Teddy? (I know he wasn't a prez or an NY Senator but someday someone may name something here after him).
Ditto. Word on the block, the Manhattan Bridge is going to be the Barack Hussein Obama Bridge in 2040, or simply the BHO.
Yeah, and knowing how liberally biased the status quo is these days, the powers that be will probably name some collapsing bridge, like the one in Minnesota, the John McCain Bridge, or some obscure, slow moving freeway Exit the MCCain Exit.
Most natives are going to continue to call it the Triborough. It will take at least a few more generations for this new name to stick.
I'll second that motion! Sixth Avenue in Manhattan was officially renamed Avenue of the Americas in 1964, and you still can't get New Yorkers to use that name after 44 years. (On the other hand, lots of people will look at you funny if you ask directions to 22 Avenue in Brooklyn...but Bay Parkway, well, why didn't you say so?)

Was Bay Pkwy ever called 22 Ave? I know that's where it is on the grid.
In Bay Ridge everyone says 69th St and 75th St instead of Bay Ridge Av and Bay Ridge Pkwy.
