There is a possibility that I might be offered a job working in Manhattan. I've actually never visited, let alone lived, in NYC and surrounding area. Are they any suggestions/advice/recommendations/etc that anyone can offer to help smooth my transition, if I end up moving there? I haven't lived in a city larger than 60-70,000 people but I adjust fairly well to big changes.
For starters, "cities" no larger than 70,000 are called towns.
Advice... Get the job first.
Good Luck.

Thats going to be a big change. More than you think. But Ive found New York to be real welcoming. Living in a New Jersey city of only 40,000 people and going to NYC doesnt faze me. But i guess thats because i live in an urban area. If you know how to handle yourself in an urban area you should be fine.
