Look at how nice the people of Moscow keep their subways stations. Why must Ny-ers treat ours as garbage dumps?

Because NYers are filthy pigs, especially immigrants. Moscow has the benefit of a homogenous society of Europeans.

London doesn't really need it. At least not for the moment.

The climate there is becoming warmer/sunnier, however, so that may become a requirement in the years ahead.

The metro in Paris doesn't have air-conditioned cars either.

It's deplorable. I ride the trains and usually they're so crowded that I have to wait for 3 or 4 to go by before I can get on. Why the 7 local train runs only every 8 minutes (on average) during rush hour is beyond me.

I see trash on the tracks that had to be there at least a dozen years...newspapers from the 1990's and soda cans from brands that went extinct years ago. It is not cleaned.

Moscow's subway stations look like museum exhibition halls.

i also like how you only have to swipe once to use the subway. not swipe to get on and then to get off.

I remember seeing a rat on the tracks one day...I yelled at it to go away...sucker turned around and said "you talking to me"?

Probably, the only thing that MTA does for cleaning its stations is changing black garbage bags in all trash cans daily.
