Races in New York

White Non-Hispanic (35.0%)
Hispanic (27.0%)
Black (26.6%)
Other race (13.4%)
Two or more races (4.9%)
Chinese (4.5%)
Asian Indian (2.1%)
American Indian (1.1%)
Korean (1.1%)
Other Asian (1.0%)
Filipino (0.7%)

I know that New York City is VERY diverse and that's what i love about it, but it seems to me that there is more than 35% White-non Hispanic. What do you think?

(sorry by the way i posted this twice by accident!)

Looks semi accurate. What's your source? I feel like the Chinese population is really low.

That is for the whole city of NY including all 5 boroughs. Manhattan has more than 35% white-non hispanic population for sure, as does Staten Island. But those are the two least populous boroughs of NYC.

The white population should be lower. There are very few white areas in NYC and IMO if you remove Staten Island, then the city "proper" is more Hispanic than anything.

The Asian (Chinese/Korean/Indian) numbers seem quite low to me too.... have you been to Queens or Bay Ridge lately?
