During the summer of 1984 after finishing my freshman year in college, I had a temp job for several weeks with an attorney who was heavily involved with Studio 54.

I was able to go there a number of times and have to say it was very memorable and exciting. I might even have an old Studio 54 card somewhere in my ephemera

Many years ago I did a film with a fellow who later worked as a doorman at the club (you know, one of those guys who decided who got to go in). He was a real jerk back then, and probably still is -- except he's now a low-level Hollywood producer, so if I were to run into him, I'd have to be nice to him .....

Although it didn't get such great reviews, I liked 54 (1998)

I was an anti-disco rock n' roll fan back then

And I wouldn't have been able to get into that joint if my life depended on it

If you google "Studio 54" lots of stuff comes up. The history of Studio 54 is a fascinating snap shot of a particular era. It's become a part of Americana.
