Are there any condos (present or in construction) within walking distance (15 blocks or less) to the Fordham Road station? If so, what is the name and going rate for 2 and 3 bedrooms apts?

I don't think there are too many condo projects within an easy walk of the Fordham Rd metro north stop. If you do a search on Trulia or the NYT real estate site you will probably find a few and the 2 or 3 br's will probably be in the 250 to $300,000 range.
If you are willing to consider a coop you will have a much wider selection ... and at 50 to $100,000 less.
There are no "big" condo projects( more than 8 or 10 units) at all in that area as far as I know.
I recently spent over a year looking at coops and condos all over the Bronx and that was my experience anyway.I went the coop route and found a nice 2 br for under 200.
Good luck!
By the way,15 blocks can be a huge piece of real estate in The Bronx and I am not sure that it should really be considered "walking distance" on a regular basis.

I wouldn't consider these walking distance, but they are the closest I can remember seeing:

BRONX RENAISSANCE: PARK SOUTH CONDOMINIUMS (http://thebxnyc.blogspot.com/2008/10/blue.html - broken link)

Parkside Place Condominiums

The first is at the far end of the Bronx Zoo, and the other is in Norwood. They recently built something real close to the Fordham station, I could see the construction from here, but maybe it's just office space.

There's plenty of co-ops within a 20 min. walk.

There's definitely co-ops in the Fordham area like people have mentioned. They've probably been there for some time I would imagine. I don't know of any condos though.

NO! not a good area. I live a couple blocks from there.

Bronx condos = PARKCHESTER. I can't remember their website but google it - parkchester NY. It's not far from the metro north on Fordham - just take the #22 bus straight there.

Their condos are nice, big and affordable and it's a safe area!
