Vets and former city workers get time put on there total time .It's a maximum of 2 years added to there time .So if you work let's say 15 years for another city agency the most they will add to your time is 2 years.The same hold true for vets.

Your list number is your list number and that is it. If you are a veteran, you were previously granted veteran status and your number was adjusted. If the ax falls, it goes by seniority - like everything else in this job.

It goes by the last people hired. whoever was that last one hired is the first one to be laid off... the 483,482.. etc and etc. Once we reach list number 1 and we laid him off then we go to the last people hired from that last exam.

well if we get laid off in july jus try to enjoy the summer...collect your enemployment which will be more then i take home...get a job off the books and just wait to get hired back...we will get hired back plus....(hope it doesnt happen but just a situation) july would be my one year so say they laid us off for 2 years when we come back we get 3 year salary not one year you can move up a max of 2 years only....

we talk about the collection changing.... so might relays they also show the times on them so say if you do 2 they might say now its 3 or hey 4.....fact is were changing the job its all our fault no one elses....

Mod cut No comments on Admin activity

I've been hearing about layoffs in hear alot. Does anyone have anything solid or is this all just speculation? What happened to all this stimulus money?

Transit is city/state and it does count.You also get the time you did in transit added to your pension after you do your 20 years
