The 1st thing you do is you're pretrip on your truck in the morning. Get out late everyday. Its part of your daily routine. If there is anything wrong with it down it and have it fixed.
Take your time getting to the route. No racing down the road and stop for those red lights and stop signs. Don't be in a rush. Little things like letting a car go in front of you, letting someone cross in front of you etc add up in time consumption.
If you have a line of cars building up behind while you're loading you stop working and go around the block and write it on your ticket.
Take a couple of bathroom breaks everyday because you're entitled to it. Remember there are two of you and you both may not have to use the bathroom at the same time so spread it out. Write it on your 350.
Get your lunch and go back to your district and take your time traveling to and from the route.
We stay out with 3 to 10 tons so there is no excuse not to stay out with 6 tons unless you are doing all bag stops. If you are doing all bag stops then you might have no choice but to go to the dump. But at least go after lunch.
Now that summer is here, take your heat breaks.
Most importantly, be smart and stay out of trouble. Don't do anything stupid and remember, if you've been dumping regularly on your route and now your going to stop dumping expect to have some heat on you. You will be followed but don't let them get to you. If you do it right and they cant get you on anything they will leave you alone.
If you feel your being harassed by the supv's call your union rep and let them take care of it. Good luck.
