looks like their rates are lower mid week than on weekends. Also look at their advance purchase rates and special promotional rates. There are no dates when they are booked so haggle with them.
Looks like some rates include breakfast.

cool things to do:

dont go to times square LOL just kidding, do! its great for first timers. go to rockefeller square and its area for the shops and uppity types.
then trek down to east village and make sure you go to saint marks place where all the crazy kids go to see that area.
if you are both beautiful and trendy and can get into anywhere then go to soho and tribeca, and to be a little more touristy you can even go to meatpacking district.

haha
soho has great shops and cute cobblestone streets where you can shop and go to a bit pricey but cool coffee shops, cafes, restaurants that are laid back.

little italy is also cool.
you should get a zagat or a TIMEOUT new york thing.
if youre artsy and funky and you like the alterna hippie young emo thing check out williamsburg. it actually is really cool.

i still say east village lower east side is your best bet, times square, soho, williamsburg. and if its nice go to central park. really cute
oo and for brunch if you like to look pretty and dance on tables with eurowannabes or the nutties, LOL

go to FELIX in soho. make a rezzie though! its totally fun
if you like to be mature and whatnot go to balthazar and eat where all the pretentious yuppies eat. LOL
