The 52nd precinct stats are already up.

http://www.norwoodnews.org/images//crimestats2008pdf.pdf

My sector was 2nd in homicides, 1st in robberies, and 2nd in felony assaults (out of 13).

The worst areas of the 52 are

sector G ( bounded by by E 196th and E Fordham rd north to south, Webster ave and Valentine ave east to west)

sector B (bounded by Fordham rd and W 181st north and south, University ave to Sedgwick ave east to west, and Fordham rd to W 183rd st north and south from Jerome ave to University ave east to west.)

sector C (bounded by Kingsbridge rd and Fordham rd north and south, Jerome ave to Sedgwick ave east to west).

sector F (bounded by E 196th and Kingsbridge rd north to south and Valentine ave and Jerome ave east to west).

sector D (bounded by Kingsbridge rd and Fordham rd north to south and Valentine ave and Jerome ave east to west).

These are the worst areas.

In fact, what is really telling is the amount of crime below E 196th, as compared to north of it.

Below E 196th:

Homicides: 7 out of 10 = 70%

Rapes: 20 out of 27 = 74%

Robberies: 276 out of 486 = 57%

Felony assaults: 252 out of 456 = 55%

This is interesting.

I'm actually 46th precinct but I'm like right by that sector B border. Do you know if they have something similar for 46th precinct Mario?

Nope. I wish. The 46th precinct is just down the block from me, so im on its border. So its a source of interest for me too. What you can do is request it and they will give it to you. But if there is a newspaper that covers the precinct, you can tell them to get the information for you.

I just looked up the 08 stats for the 46 out of curiosity. Now those were NYPD stats, and they say 15 murders. So conservatively i'm imagining it's more like there were 25-30. That's still a lot of murders. If they get it down to single digits (on paper) I'll be impressed.

Hard to do. Those are the fab 4 (Morris Heights, Tremont, University Heights, and Fordham). Not only are they terrible but they're also very dense.
