We are moving from the midwest to Manhattan for work in May. We have a lot of exploring to do first, but thinking ahead, we will probably want an affordable place to get away on summer weekends for golf and biking.
Out here there are nice golf communities within 2 hours of Chicago such as Lake Geneva where you can buy a condo or townhome without the hassle and cost of maintaining a second single family home.
We have explored some of the areas around NYC, but so far we've only seen single family homes and private golf courses...no golf communities like we are accustomed to.
Can anyone recommend nice communities with condos or townhomes for us to check out within 2 hours of NY in any direction? Say from Phila to CT?
