Not in any particular order........

- The buildings. Approaching Manhattan from the airport is breath taking - absolutely awesome!

- The people. In bars, restaurants, the subway, well all over really. I think it may be an accent thing. I've had some very enjoyable 'throw away' chit chats with various people - you know just passing the time of day and all that. I've found the people very genuine and really friendly.

- The food! I love the variety you get in NYC. Very reasonably priced too.

- Central Park in summer. Really good feel and atmosphere.

- The immigration history. I find it fascinating how so many different people, from so many different backgrounds and cultures can live on top of each other. It really is a melting pot!

- Classic pre WWII ornate brick and stone architecture.
- Historic walkable neighborhoods such as Greenwhich Village, Brooklyn Heights, UWS
- Beautiful parks such as Central, Riverside and Prospect.
- Vibrant
- Cosmopolitan world class city. Without question America's top city.

The architecture. Pre-war buildings, brownstones and other beautiful buildings.
The artsy-funky neighborhoods. Soho, Tribeca, East Village etc.
The classic neighborhoods. UES, UWS, Harlem, parts of Brooklyn and Queens.
The view of the East River from Manhattan or Brooklyn.
The beautiful parks: Central Park, Riverside Park, Prospect Park, Morningside, St. Nicholas, Van Cortlandt, Crotona etc. etc.

The pre war buildings
24 hour bus and subway coverage. (in most cases)
The variety of bars, clubs, and restaurants.
The people are down to earth. (They are not afraid to tell it like it is)
There is always something to do.
