Im looking for a Pediatrician who is Delayed Vaccination friendly and who have seperate Measles,Mumps and Rubella shots available in the NYC area.
Our current pediatrician told me they dont exist individually. I know this is not the truth. She also is not happy with Spreading out the shots and said is she doesnt comply to their schedule she will refuse to be our Doctor.
Please Help!
Honestly, in the Medical Literature per norm, the MMR is abbreviated so because that is the CDC's reccomendation. I don't blame any M.D for thinking that they don't exist otherwise. And I have learnt in Medicine, that if you try and go against the grain both in training and practice, you are headed for problems.
Thats not saying you are in error in asking for seperate vaccines, however you are avoiding the CDC's vaccination schedule recommendations. This begs the question why?, and why you would think you know better than the CDC's experts, as I sure as hell know I don't.

Reason: spelling
It's extremely difficult to find a single measles vaccine, another single mumps vaccine and another single rubella vaccine. 99.9% of the time they're in ONE vial.
Pixie, settle for nothing less then what you want for your child!! If it is because of the fear with autism, then just hold off on th MMR or hopefully find a Dr. that will seperate them! studies show no link, but why take the chance.
