Here's the rundown.

- Age: 22 (female) Black
- Children: Daughter (age 5)
- Currently reside in Canarsie, Brooklyn, NY Mod cut: inappropriate
- Though living in Brooklyn most of my life. I barely know the borough, outside of Canarsie, I can get lost. (Yes I know it's pathetic lol)
- I work on 6th Street, Methodist Hospital (Hoping to move to an area less than a 45 minute drive)
- Interested in a 2-3 bedroom around $2500.

I might be to Brooklyn, but I know ENY, Bed-Stuy, Flatbush, Bushwick and Brownsville are not open for discussion .

I will appreciate your help

Thanks...

Borough Park, Mapleton, Sheepshead Bay, maybe Greenpoint.

I've heard of all the above, except Mapleton. May I ask, what mixture are the communities?

I'm hoping these areas are .

you cant lose with sunset park. the chinese and hispanic populations are WOAH but there is also a considerable arab presence as well as a strong representation of a lot of other ethnicities(i mean, this is NYC we're talking about). You can easily find something nice in your price range anywhere in the neighborhood. I think most 2 bedrooms go for about 2Gs solid, give or take a couple hundred. Plus being in that part of BK you have plenty of access to a lot of trains and buses. and the view from the park itself is WOAH. you gotta see it

Default come on over

Come to Williamsburg, aside from all the hype about the new trendy residents moving in, its still a family oriented neigborhood. Its close to manhattan too. With that said its a lil pricy, but its one of few safe neigborhoods where hispanics and blacks reside with fairly low crime. Were close enough to Greenpoint, to have decent schools, parks, and grocery stores, but still close to bedford stuyvesant so you child will grow up street smart.

You do have a good budget! You could try Cobble Hill, and even Park Slope, Bensonhurst is nice and inexpensive as well (D line)

I think for that budget you can be in a very nice neighberhood, especially in this mess we're in.

Williamsburgh is not diverse lol mostly whites but suite yourself. Besides it will get over her head when the recession ends.

Why don't you try NJ, dependable on the county, the trip can be 30-45 min. Just brainstorming, I love it there.
