Hello, we are moving soon and we will have 4 movers here for a local move (6 miles). I think it's an estimated 6 hours worth of work. They won't be packing, just moving. What do you guys think?
$50.00 for each mover sounds fair to me. If it were only 3 or 4 movers you would tip a little bit more to each of them. Don't forget to offer them refreshments.
6 hr move? You must have a lot of stuff or there are a lot of flights of stairs involved. Elevator bldg to another elevator bldg move isn't as bad as going from a walk up to another walk up. We are in summer so weather is a big factor.
These guys are probably making less than $20.00 hr. It all comes down towards the completion of your move, did they break anything? did they work slow? try to milk the clock? etc. May your move go smooth.
