Faded glory is the prevailing trend in these areas, with some uptick in renovated houses. Both areas had distinctive architecture, but as properties became derelict, architectural details were stripped or removed, sometimes in cheap renovations. They're currently not to the level of a Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, or DUMBO.
