Saw the site today and the apts look great but the prices are a bit steep for that area. Not sure who they are marketing this to but I imagine that the average person can't afford it.

My boyfriend lives close to it in a Mitchell Lama building, so I am surprised to see this building up.

I am looking to buy something in the Bronx but I think this is too much for me.

Curious to know if anyone has gone to see it?

I applied for Solara and have interview in 2 weeks, I hope they accept me!

I'm a newbie here..have been reading all the posts about the co-ops in the Bronx. Very informative.

Thank you all!

I looked at the Park South condos over a year ago when I was looking to buy a condo or coop. The apartments are great but I bought a coop in Pelham Parkway instead. I thought they were a little pricey too but most of them have sold since, so someone must be buying them. They have transferred for close to the asking prices too.

There is a tax abatement on the units so the taxes are like 50.00/yr for the next 10 or 15 years so that might be helping .

There is nothing wrong with Mitchell Lama coops being next door either. Some of the best neighborhoods in the city have Mitchell Lama developments. They are considered a stabilizing influence in most places.

How steep were the prices? I've heard the Solara looks nice, good luck with your interview.

I believe they were at the lowest 300k for 1 bedroom on Daley Avenue in Bronx...

Thanks I hope it goes well - it would be nice to own something in NYC even if its not in luxurious Manhattan...I just need a nice apt that I can afford...I can deal with a semibad semi-in clean up stage neighborhood...

Will let you guys know how interview process at Solara is...
