We'll be taking NJ transit into the city. My husband wants to visit Wall Street and possibly go and visit the Statue of Liberty. We'll be seeing Wicked that night. Where should we stay? We're looking to spend about $150 or less for the night...it'll be a Thursday. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!!

None of these plans should dictate where you stay -- each is a 20 minute subway or cab ride from one another. Particularly given your budget, you should look around for deals on hotel rooms -- $150 is not a lot for a NYC hotel.

Check out QuikBook; they always have the best deals. (New York Hotel Special Rates, Deals, and Promotions).

$133 for the GEM SoHo is not bad.

Someone just posted about a Holiday Inn in SOHO, I heard ACE Hotel was 99.00 a night, Holiday Inn Midtown was 160.00 more or less.

Have fun!
